If you look at my design work, you might notice an underlying rhythm. Lines don't just sit on a page: they move. Layouts have a distinct, physical pacing. For a long time I tried to tried to separate my life as a dancer from my life as a designer, treating them as two entirely different worlds. But the truth is, the foundational pulse of my creative brand didn't start in a design studio or in front of a computer screen. It started years ago, on a ballroom dance floor, guided by the hands of my Italian grandfather.

My grandfather is someone who understands life and his relationships through connection, and for him dance is a strong expression of that. He was the one who introduced me to the beauty of partnered dance. I remember the patient weight of his hand guiding mine, his confidence in every swift movement, ultimately teaching me that dance isn't just about executing a routine, it is a live conversation between two people coming together to create.
In partner dancing, you quickly learn that you cannot move entirely on your own whim. You have to listen with your whole body. You have to anticipate your partner's next move, feel the subtle shift in weight, and respond to a complex synocopation or a sudden change in the music's bassline. There is a profound beauty within that shared trust. One person leads, whilst one follows, but together you create a single, fluid momentum. Through him, I didnt just learn to dance; I learned how to connect.
When I eventually found my passion for salsa dance, that early lesson in partner work became my anchor. Salsa is fast, intricate, and deeply rhythmic, but at its core, it still relies on that same fundamental connection my grandfather taught me. It's about navigating emotional highs and lows, building patterns on the fly, and finding a natural pacing within a shared space.
